🎄 Ford Mondeo Radio Display Not Working

I bought an aftermarket Chinese made Android radio specific for the Ford Mondeo, the radio is shaped to fit and have a CANBUS decoder. It is not WinCE based - it's 100% Android. When I install the radio, it works beautifully, but the Convers+ display in the instrument panel is blank. If you can removing the radio, check to see if the GPS antenna has detached, or maybe do a hard reset ie disconnect the battery for 20 mins then refit. However, the radio fan is actually wor … read more The digital radio finds stations but every single one of them cuts out every couple of seconds and mutes, showing station not available, then finds it again, then loses it. FM radio doesn't cut out but the quality is poor. I've tried angling the antenna at various angles, tried listening with the engine off, but still the same issue. It would then send you to step 2 asking if screen is completely inop, yes, go to step 4, Check for Corrosion, bent pins etc at the screen connector. If ok replace the FCDIM. This has just happened to me this afternoon on my cd6000. The display and all the button apart from the on/volume are functioning, the display is blank but the unit is still connecting to bluetooth phone and I can still use the steering stalk to control the track etc. OK, there is something you can try if you have the radio code for the car. The display can sometimes be reset by disconnecting the battery for around five minutes and then reconnecting again. This allows the capacitive charge in the display to deplete and can sometimes get it working again. .
